Lady Antebellum recently performed to two sold out headlining shows at the Ryman Auditorium. The Ryman is known as the Mother Church of Country Music and is breathtaking. The pews seem to acts as two arms reaching to hug those performing on stage. Joining Lady A were Randy Montana, long-time friend of Hillary Scott and a second generation Nashville musician; and Josh Kelley, long time pop musician and brother to Charles.

Fans from several generations lined the pews of the Ryman on Wednesday evening for this special event. After a short taped introduction by Bill Anderson, Charles, Hillary, and Dave hit the stage to introduce the opening acts—Randy Montana and Josh Kelley. Both acts have recently signed record deals in Nashville and are releasing their first single soon.

Randy Montana and Josh Kelley are both skillful artists in their own right. Randy played three songs with the last one accompanied by Hillary Scott. Josh played a few new songs, including a lullaby he wrote for his baby girl. Both Randy and Josh are sure to be hit makers with their talent and beautiful lyrics.

No need for a flashy show full of theatrics; the music, along with the ambiance of the beautiful Ryman Auditorium set the stage for an almost surreal evening. Nashville’s hottest band hit the stage with 'Stars Tonight' from their current number one album, 'Need You Now'. Beautiful harmonies along with skillful guitar playing by Dave Haywood, the group rocked the house for 90 minutes. Songs including 'Looking for a Good Time', 'Love Don’t Live Here Anymore', 'American Honey', 'Slow Down Sister', an acoustic version of Hank Williams' 'Lost Highway', and the return of Josh Kelley and Randy Montana for Tom Petty’s 'Mary Jane’s Last Dance'.

The trio also played their three number one songs—'Need You Now', 'I Run to You', and 'Do I' which Charles and Dave wrote with Luke Bryan. The evening ended with a beautiful 'Hello World' accompanied by a string section.

Lady A has grown so much as artists since I first saw them perform with Dierks Bentley in a pasture outside a casino in Sloan, Iowa just 18 short months ago. They are true entertainers and are sure to be headlining large arenas soon. Lady Antebellum is currently on tour with Tim McGraw on the Southern Voice Tour. If the tour stops in your neighborhood, snag a ticket and see this great group perform live!
