A veteran of the legendary Station Inn, Dierks Bentley has revealed he has plans to record a bluegrass album during his time off from the road. Not to disappoint fans of his other work, he will also ready a country CD in 2010.
"Nashville is my hometown; I've been here 15 years, so I know a bunch of the grassers, a lot of the country guys, a lot of songwriters and musicians," Dierks explained to The Boot. "Every album I've done has a bluegrass song on it, so it's not a surprise that one day I might make a bluegrass record. It would be a cool thing for me."
This is excellent news! Dierks has a lot more in him than he has been able to show in records so far. A bluegrass album might surprise those who now just lump him in with the 'new country stars'. We are very much looking forward to hearing it!
