Singer-songwriter Troy Cassar-Daley has received six nominations for next year's Country Music Awards in Tamworth, Australia including single and album of the year and male artist of the year and APRA song of the year.
Keith Urban has four nominations to his name and Troy says they have a friendly rivalry: "I'll have to email him tonight and say, 'Hey we got some nominations'. He'd be pretty chuffed. It's just nice to know that friends are all in there together."
Previous winner Tania Kernaghan has been nominated for female artist of the year, alongside Felicity Urquhart and industry newcomers Amber Lawrence, Lianna Rose and Harmony James.
The Country Music Association of Australia says January's awards ceremony will feature performances by previous Golden Guitar winners Kasey Chambers and Lee Kernaghan.
