At last night's BMI Country Awards, Kris Kristofferson was honored as a BMI Icon. A very moving tribute to the man was brought by Patty Griffin, Vince Gill and Willie Nelson. What I wouldn't give to have heard those three perform Kris's 'Help Me Make It Through the Night'! Country stars in attendance were also suitably moved. Jimmy Wayne tweeted from the evening: "Patty Griffith is sing,, Willie Nelson is playN a solo, and Kris is crying"

Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' was named Song of the Year and Bobby Pinson received his first, but no doubt not his last, Songwriter of the Year medal.
